Applied AI · Project Studio

They practice responsible AI, then leave with a portfolio they can present.

Over 4 weeks, students practice prompt craft, verification, and no-code creation in live sessions. Project Studio turns that practice into an AI Creation Portfolio: a track-specific artifact, Prompt Notebook, ethics checklist, and a live showcase scored by rubric.

Parents get tangible proof to discuss. Students earn a certificate tied to presentable work, not a badge for watching videos.

What the course teaches

  • Responsible AI habits

Verify claims, refuse unsafe asks, and disclose AI use. Weekly work scores those habits.

  • Prompt craft and iteration

A Prompt Notebook with 10+ logged iterations: what changed and what you verified.

  • No-code creation

Build assistants, sites, campaigns, and prototypes. No prior coding required.

  • Portfolio defense

Present decisions to instructors and families. The certificate needs scored evidence.

Weeks 1-3 · Live + LMS

Taught

Students practice responsible AI before they ship a project.

Foundations, prompt craft, verification, bias, and privacy show up in labs and weekly scored work. Project Studio is the payoff of that practice.

Step 1

Live session: responsible AI drill

Step 2

Lab: verify or discard AI claims

Step 3

Assignment scored on verification habits

AI Assistant · Pick a creation track

Study Outline Assistant · spec + live demo

Charter must name the user, success criteria, and AI boundaries before build starts.

Real brief

Classmates paste AI summaries into notes without checking facts. The assistant must outline, verify, and refuse “write my essay” requests.

User: grades 10-11 under exam pressure
Must: summarize + flag unverified claims
Must refuse: complete-assignment asks
Success: 10-min demo + 5 verified log rows

Lock the AI Assistant track with an instructor-approved charter: who it helps, what success means, and hard refusal rules.

Instructors must approve the charter before create work counts toward the portfolio grade.

Cohort exemplars appear here when learners opt in after approval. The sample above shows the standard of work.

Final AI Creation Portfolio is 25% of the grade; final presentation is 10%. The rubric scores process and evidence, not polish alone.
